In this paper, we have developed the multi-item inventory model in the fuzzy environment. Here we considered the demand rate is constant and production cost is dependent on the demand rate. SET-up-cost is dependent on average inventory level as well as demand. Lead TIME crashing cost is considered the continuous function of leading TIME. Limitation is considered on storage of space. Due to uncertainty all cost parameters of the proposed model are taken as generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Therefore this model is very real. The formulated multi objective inventory problem has been solved by various techniques like as Geometric Programming (GP) approach, Fuzzy Programming Technique with Hyperbolic Membership Function (FPTHMF), Fuzzy Nonlinear Programming (FNLP) technique and Fuzzy Additive Goal Programming (FAGP) technique. An example is given to illustrate the model. Sensitivity analysis and graphical representation have been shown to test the parameters of the model.

The present paper is an attempt to develop a new heuristic algorithm, find the optimal sequence to minimize the utilization TIME of the machines and hence their rental cost for two stage specially structured flow shop scheduling under specified rental policy in which processing TIMEs and SET up TIME are associated with their respective probabilities including transportation TIME. Further jobs are attached with weights to indicate their relative importance. The proposed method is very simple and easy to understand and also provide an important tool for the decision maker. Algorithm is justified by numerical illustration.

In order to carry out experimental investigations on radial inflow gas turbine, a special test laboratory was designed and constructed at sharif University of Technology. This laboratory is introduced in the present paper and experimental procedures are elaborated on. Then, some test results are presented and discussed. The trends of performance characteristics math our expectation and show good agreement with the published research results in this field.

Background and Aims: Genotyping assay has been accepted as a guidance in the therapeutic management of Human Immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1). But, it is not commonly used in our country due to its high running cost. The aim of this study is evaluate an in-house genotyping resistance test (GRT) for HIV-1.Methods: HIV-1 RNA of 20 samples were extracted from plasma and RT Nested- PCR was performed and the final products were sequenced. Stanford HIV Sequence Database was used for genotyping and interpretation of resistance data.Results: Subtype A was the dominant viral subtype in these patients. Also the results of drug resistance interpretation showed that drug-naïve patients are susceptible to drugs and for patients taking the drugs; 66.6% susceptible for AZT, 50% high- level resistance for 3TC, 66.6% low- level resistance for ABC, 66.6% susceptible for TDF, 50% high- level resistance for NVP and 50% high- level resistance for EFV.Conclusion: Our method is able to amplify and sequence HIV-RNA from plasma samples from a random selection of patients encompassing different subtypes. The results of this study may have important consequences for survey and clinical management of patients with AIDS in Iran.
